Stronger Send Series - Personal Training Program
Have you been feeling stuck in your climbing progression and aren't sure where to start with breaking your plateau? Interested in training but worried about injury? Want a fun way to get stronger and get to know your fellow climbers?
Introducing the Stronger Send Series, Our 3-month training program starting January 5th.
Our coaches will guide you through two structured practices and one Tension Board "Board Meeting" per week to help you:
- Learn how to properly use training equipment
- Learn goal-oriented workouts
- Get to know fellow climbers and the gym community
- Train in a team atmosphere
- Compete together in local competitions
- Climb harder and more consistently
The program is broken up into three month-long sections that each focus on a different aspect of training for climbing.
January - Strength
A power-based course designed to build a fundamental level of strength, resulting in the advancement of your climbing abilities as well as improving your capacity to train harder with less risk of injury. With a focus on finger strength, static lock offs, and explosive movement, learn the ins and outs of board climbing, the dos and don’ts of hang boarding, and take your contact strength to new heights on the campus rungs. After establishing measurable baselines, you will be able to track your progress at the conclusion of this class and be set up for the second tier of our training program geared toward Power Endurance.
February - Power Endurance
After building your strength in our first class, it is time to transition that power to the wall. With our Power Endurance course, we will utilize the data from your most recent baseline tests to develop and perform exercises at varying percentages of your maximum output. This training style will increase your ability to climb harder for longer. Focusing on high-volume training, near-limit climbing, on-route rest and recovery, fighting the pump, and smashing plateaus, your projects don’t stand a chance after this Power Endurance class.
March - Endurance
In climbing, strength does not always translate to success. With the endurance portion of our three-part training program, you will discover how to maximize the strength you have built in a way that results in harder sends. With a primary focus on stamina, route reading and decision making, and mental fortitude, this class will prime you for those spring project attempts. Learn how to move efficiently, rest effectively, and push your climbing ceiling to new heights. Build confidence in your newly acquired strength and become aware of what you are truly capable of achieving. Upon completion of this three-tier training program what once felt impossible will not only feel possible but be truly attainable.
