Scouts
On The Rocks has two different pathways for scouts looking to earn their badges. We can help each group determine which route works best for you!
BSA/GSUSA Merit Badge Instruction
First, we offer a one day, 5 hour class for scouts ages 12+ to work toward earning their Climbing Badge/Adventure Badge through the Girl Scouts of America or the Boy Scouts of America! We have two BSA certified merit badge counselors at our gym who are more than willing to tailor the program for your needs. Climbing curriculum will vary slightly depending on badge requirements, but scouts will typically go through the badge requirements that are set forth in the most recent edition of the handbook.
1-8 scouts $20/ scout
9- 16 scouts $18/ scout
We require 1 instructor per every 8 scouts for merit badge instruction at a rate of $150/instructor
Booking times are flexible. Please fill out the form below, and our coordinator will reach out to you via email
Non-BSA/GSUSA Instruction
Second, we have a shorter one day, 3 hour climbing instruction course for the less intense training badges for ages 5-17 that is more tailored around what your groups needs are than for a merit badge specifically.
Regular group rates apply:
6-10 people - $22 per person
11-15 people - $20 per person
16+ people - $18 per person
For this course, we require 1 instructor per every 6 scouts at a rate of $60/instructor
Booking times are flexible. Please fill out the form below, and our coordinator will reach out to you via email
Non-Instruction Outings
If you are interested in bringing your scout group in just to climb with no instruction, please fill out our regular event request form.
