Pay What You Can Memberships

We're expanding access to On the Rocks and helping to alleviate some financial barriers to being a part of the gym by offering reduced-rate, Pay What You Can (PWYC) memberships. We've created a fixed scale of $60/month, $40/month, or $20/month for those participating in the PWYC program. All PWYC members will receive free rental climbing gear (shoes, harness, chalk bag, belay device) if necessary when climbing at the gym.

There are a limited number (30 total with a waitlist) of PWYC memberships. We recognize that everyone's circumstances are relative, and we ask that you select a membership rate that makes the most sense for you if you are enrolled in the PWYC program. Depending on demand, we may also evaluate increasing the number of available PWYC membership spots.

PWYC memberships have a fixed length of 1 month, with the option to renew upon expiration. There is no limit to the number of times you can renew your membership. There will be a 1 week "grace period" where we will reach out via phone and/or email after your membership expires to see if you'd like to re-enroll. Because the program is capped at 30 participants with a waitlist, we ask that you assess your need for a PWYC membership regularly. If you find that your circumstances have improved, consider that there may be individuals on the waitlist that would benefit from becoming a part of the program. If you decide not to re-enroll after your membership expires, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can contact those on the waitlist.

If you would like to apply for a Pay What You Can Membership, please fill out the application using the following link. If you require an alternate application method (mail, in-person, etc.), please call us at (440) 328-8330, email us at support@climbontherocks.com, or stop in during our business hours. Not all applicants will be accepted, and only the content of your replies to the application will be used to determine if you are accepted into the program.
