Climb for a Cause 2024
We're hosting our second annual Climb for a Cause! 🥳
Join us Sunday, March 24th 9am-5pm to help raise money for 5 great causes. This year, we'll be joined by the Alpha and Georgia's House (@alphahouseohio), Friendship APL (@friendshipapl), Project Healing Waters Rocky River (@phwff_rockyriver), Ohio Climber's Coalition (@ohioclimberscoalition), and United Way of Greater Lorain County (@uwloraincounty).
We'll also be discounting all day passes and rentals by 50% all day to help get more people involved!
If you're unfamiliar with how it works, it's simple! Every finished climb = money donated to one of the above causes. Each climb is worth a certain amount of money and, if completed, will provide the climber with a ticket that can be donated to any of the above organizations. At the end, we'll tally up just how much money each organization has raised!
- Sunday, 3/24; itinerary:
- 9a-10a: organizations set up tables, fundraiser's volunteers arrive, logistics explained to both parties
- 10a-5p: Climb for a Cause
- 5p-6p: totals tallied, checks presented
- 5 organizations:
- The Alpha & Georgia's House (@alphahouseohio)
- Friendship APL (@friendshipapl)
- Project Healing Waters Rocky River (@phwff_rockyriver)
- Ohio Climbers Coalition (@ohioclimberscoalition)
- United Way of Greater Lorain County (@uwloraincounty)
- Fundraiser format:
- All climbs worth $; climb route/problem -> choose which organization to donate climb's money to
- no falls = $, fall = no $
- Clean climb = full $, rainbow or break route rules = $2
- Volunteers are needed! To sign up, please sign up at the front desk, call the gym at (440) 328-8330, or email Communications Coordinator Tom at support@climbontherocks.com.
